Children's Museum

Several several Months ago, Chris' mom came down for a while, and we took the kids to the Children's museum of Houston. Jan treated us all. It's such a neat place, especially or older kids: painting, pretnd, play areas, and all sorts of experiments! Cole and I hun out at the "tot spot" mainly, and had a blast with anything that resembled a ball!

The golf ball table was by far his favorite!!

Thanks Jan! We had fun!

Cole's First Plane Ride and Easter 2010

Well Hello there Blogger World--it has been WAY too long!! But as I post this I am reminded why, because every time I try to do this it takes at LEAST and hour because it messes up all the time and only lets you post a couple pics at once! WAAAAHHH.

Anyways, we did make our way to OK for Easter, and Cole was able to ride an airplane for the first time! He absolutely loved it and thought that it was the COOLEST thing ever! We heard these phrases A LOT, "Ride a airplane mommy! It's fun! Oh WOW!" Oh, and our favorite (background: Cole loves elephants and thinks they are very big and high in the sky), "See a plane Daddy! High in the sky like a BABY ELEPHANT!" Hahahaha. I'm sure all the airport people were lie "WHAT???"

Little boys GLUED to the window!

Cole's Easter basket was filled with some of his favorite things including eggs that were disguised as basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, and baseballs, and lots of VeggieTales. And a football basket to boot. Too Cute!

He got to color lots of Easter Eggs at both Meme/Papa and Gigi/Papa Mike's houses. Here's a few pics:

He also got to go to an Easter Party Egg Hunt with his Cousin Kennedi.

They had tons of crafts, play stuff, and a "jump" which I couldn't get Cole out of!!

There was also, of course, an egg hunt. Cole did good for a while until he decided all eggs were footballs. Then he'd just throw the egg and run after it, throw it again and run after it. :) Silly sport-obsessed boy!

Hunting Eggs @ Gigi/Papa Mike's: Kennedi won bigtime...Cole was still throwing his eggs like a football....

Hunting in Cleveland at the City hunt and at Meme/Papa's:

At the airport on the way home, the security guys thought Cole was so cute to be so excited about Airplanes, so they gave him a badge. It was pretty cute :)

Zoo Trips

We've taken a couple of trips to the zoo the past 2 months. Cole lives for the elephants and all the zoo animals, so it TOTALLY makes his day to go see them! The last time we went with Matt and Angela, Payten, and Brayden. We had a good time!! The Houston zoo is pretty on par with the Tulsa Zoo, but a lot of the animals are more up close to ya. So I got some great pics!

Cole loves his uncles! He just walked up to Matt and started holding his hand! haha. It was cute. And Daddy was even close by!

Cole's Favorite: The "ELEPHANTS!!!!" he says.

Never been THIS close to a lion before! It was pretty awesome!

Nor this close to a giraffe! I love giraffe's . My favorite!!

Biggest Elk I've seen!

Fattest Bird ever! Pretty Ducks!

Hopefully we have more good weather on the way, and we can go do it all ofer again. I'm ready for all this cold to go AWAY!!!

Sesame Street Live

I know I've not posted in a long time. So sorry! I am now planning to take a huge orthopedic specialty exam in a year from now, which sounds like a long time, but with a kiddo, a job, housecleaning, grocery shopping, and all that comes with being a wife, mom, runner, and employee, it's not! So I'm making myself start studying and putting blogging and scrapping on the back burner.
All that said, I did want to post a couple pics of when we took Cole to see Sesame Street Live for his birthday. He LOVED it! We couldn't tell at first, b/c he just stared in disbelief for the entire first half of the show. I thought, "Man, he's not even excited.." but when they went away for intermission he was distraut. :) "See ELMO!! Big bird come back!"

The show was really fun, and I think I enjoyed it as much as he did :) Who doesn't love Sesame Street?

Can't wait for Next Year's!

Happy 2nd Birthday Cole!

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY COLE!! You are so precious, cute, and silly! I love you so much!

We had 2 birthday celebrations this past week. He turned 2 on 1-26-10, and so we had to celebrate at home with some good cupcakes from a dessert boutique down here--OOO la la Bakery. FABULOUS!! Cole got to eat part of a smores cupcake. Chocholate icing with chocolate cake and a melted
marshmallow center! YUM!!

Yeah, it was AWESOME!

Then, Sunday Afternoon the 31st, we held a small get together for some family and a few friends. Mike, Jan, Matt, Angela, Payten , and Brayden came as well as both sets of neighbors and the Opitz Family and McDonald Family.

I wrapped several little andy bars with cute Elmo wrappers I ordered online from http://www.candywrapperstore.com/.com/ which was perfect for his Sesame Street themed Bday party.

They read, "Happy 2nd Birthday Cole!"

January 26, 2010

Sams made the cupcake cake, and they were just ok, unfortunately. They put about a foot of icing on the top which made them super messy....and Elmo's face looked like a red football, but that's ok. Cole was excited that his cake looked like Elmo, so I'm not too upset.

Cute little boy! :)

All the kids had a blast playing on the trampoline. I think it will be tons of fun this summer, and hopefully a place to lay out in the sun for me when he is napping!! haha And the REAL reason for the tramp comes out! Just kidding.
Well ya'll, this is about all of blogger I can stand right now. Is it just me, or is it harder to use than before? When I used to upload pics I could drag one pic from the top to the bottom, and now it doesn't let me do that! It's sooooooo annoying blogger people!!! FIX it!!!
